Counterstrike (ZA - Algorythm, Obscene, Outbreak)

Justin Scholtmeyer (aka Animal Chin) és Eaton Crous (aka 500 Mills) kettőse alkotja Dél-Afrika elsőszámú drum'n'bass exportcikkét, a Counterstrike formációt, az olyan felejthetetlen dark anthemek atyját, mint a Doom Prophet, a V, a Can't Let Go, a Maniac, a Draco, az Africanism, vagy mint az újabb rémálom, a White Light. A duó 90-es évek közepétől pörgeti a lemezeket Dél-Afrikában, és szerte Európában Angliától Austrián át Szlovákiáig. '98 óta foglalkoznak producerkedéssel. "Együtt dolgozunk, mert közösek az elképzeléseink... teljesen mindegy, hogy közösen alkotunk vagy külön-külön... a végeredmény mindenképpen Counterstrike" - mondja Justin, és hozzáteszi: "Három évig hangmérnöknek tanultam, így én vagyok a felelős bármelyik Counterstrike mixdownért vagy masterért."

2001-ben jött első single-jük a kanadai Allied Recordings-on (ALLIED103 - Counterstrike: Pressure / Questions). Ezt számos megjelenés követte olyan labeleken, mint az Invader, a Core, a Cell és a Leet, a Drop On Request vagy a Revolution. A mai napra olyan kiadók figyeltek fel munkásságukra, mint az azóta ismét csődközelbe került Outbreak, a Dylan-féle szörnyistállló, a Freak/Obscene, a TOV sublabel, a Barcode (a Gateway a US Against The World Lp-n) vagy az őslabelek egyikének számító Moving Shadow (a négyszámos Wardance Ep). Saját címkéjük, az Algorythm 2005 márciusában indult, azóta három kiadványon vannak túl. Az utolsón, a From Beyond The Grave Ep-n Killing Machine (Jezuz Road) címmel Limewax és Spl közreműködésével is készült felvétel.
