Yo all!

Back in Finland (Flew on Malev; good airline. Good food, smooth flight, slick plane, bad wine, but free drinks, e.g., beer, so all in all, yeah baby, good stuff).

Was a cool party on Saturday.
Was nice to see people digging the vibes.
I'll do it again anytime.

Big ups to the other DJs as well, although I didnt get to hear that much of Tactile set as I was doing the radio shows. I have to say that the music after my set was a bit too hard for my taste but ppl enjoyed it so all's cool allrite 8-)

Anyways, thanks to everybody who showed up, a big big up to Nowsound kru, and sorry for my shit mixing
Also a big group hug to the people who were feeling "What Does Your Soul Look Like part 2"; that was a great moment right!

Met some very cool people, sorry, cant remember your names but you have my emails so we can shoot the shit.

Big ups to the one with the Sample Me t-shirt!! Stunning stuff......
Too bad you left so early, we couldve talked more about dnb perhaps.

Peace to the man with whom i spent time boozing in the chill-out room, talking about music, love, life etc.

Gotta say that I didnt understand the kids who were in the VERY front row for my whole set, showing their massive dislike for the music I played. I mean, havent you ever been to a party before where you dont hear your fave top10? Or, whenever it happens that the DJ is playing music u aint feeling, do you always show him thumbs-downs and get-off-the-stage signs, for 1.5 hours? I really couldnt give a fuck but you looked like real asses, dudes. Believe me, I only feed on that kinda shit; I take great pride in fooling certain types of people with the music that I love to bits. I only couldve said "go home if you dont like it", but strangely enough, you DID leave after my set, so i just dont get you.

Anyways, I'm off to bed, too tired to write more just now.

New week ahead, back to studio+study life reality......gotta write breaks for a Bill Laswell project, also maybe make some stuff for Beta Records soon (I heard mister B is gonna be in Budapest soon?), work on some downtempo etc etc.

A website is in the works; it will display my dnb (Fanu) and downtempo (Samurai) sides.
A 13-track Samurai LP (CD+vinyl) is coming out late 2005 on Vibe'z Recs.

Anyways, it was fun, see ya!

-Janne

bigup, it was a great party, i've lost my voice screamin throughout the set :D and yes, the DJ Shadow song was just perfect there!

I liked the downtempo things you played. Could you tell us what was the last track?

i only played one downtempo track;
it was Dj Shadow - "What Does Your Soul Look Like (part 2)", it's a live version from "In tune and On time" LP.
i concluded with it.
i've had to record it to cd just so i can pitch it up enough to make it fit with dnb; the pitch of a vinyl deck aint enuff for that 8) and it would sound badly pitched anyways.

some tracks of mine that i played also have downtempo sections.
if you are into downtempo, i'll say i am releasing a downtempo album under my Samurai moniker later this year on Vibe'z Recs.
soundclips of the album and info can be found here:
