Kryptic Minds
Although having a number of successful releases under his belt Kryptic Minds first really came to the attention of the masses with the now anthmatic
'The Truth' which was released on Ram Records off shoot 'Frequency'.
By now it is 1999 and Kryptic minds are introduced to Leon Switch through a friend of a friend. Leon was already into producing and they decided to combine their collective ideas.
Their first collaboration was
'Blue powder' B/W
'Madman' on Unkut Recordings (UKR2006) before concentrating on the launch of their new imprint 'Defcom Records'.
The first release on Defcom was by Kryptic Minds and was called
'Covert' b/w
'Morphology' (DCOM001). This was followed by
'Inside' b/w
'Reason' (DCOM002) by Leon Switch, which was supported by Grooverider. (DCOM003)
'Vortex' b/w
'Fallen Angel' by Kryptic Minds and Leon Switch. (DCOM004)

'Curse' by Kryptic Minds and Leon Switch. (DCOM005)
'Code' b/w
'The Prophet', (DCOM006)

'Vein' by Leon Switch, (DCOM007) see's there massive
'Blueprint' cut get the remix treatment from none other the the mighty Technical Itch and had the equally as popular
'Mutants' on the flip. With the last release setting such a hard president to follow, Kryptic Minds and Leon switch took no prisoners with there eighth release

But there work has not just been limited to there own labels as they have recently remixed both Technical Itch's
'Pressure Drop' and the mighty
'The Ruckus' for Penetration and Raiden's
'6ft Ditch' for Renegade Hardware plus a yet to be disclosed remix for Dillinja's
'Valve' imprint and talk of a mix of Andy C and Moving Fusion's
'Foulmouth'.
All this going on has attracted attention from scene legends 'Metalheadz' and they are set to drop possibly one of the biggest tunes of the year this summer with:
'Hide The Tears' B/W
'Hide The Tears Remix' ("The don't call Goldie Tune!") with a follow up later in 2004 with
'The King' B/W
'We Attack At Dawn' and a place on the next Headz album with
'Prejudice and Politics'. Also look out for their
'Primary Objective' track forthcoming on the Technical Freaks Album. Two track for Tech Itch Recordings.
Now it seems that Leon Switch and Kryptic Minds are ready to unveil their biggest project to date,
Lost All Faith. Lost All Faith is Leon Switch & Kryptic Minds first artist album and is dedicated to Si's (Kryptic Minds) late brother, who died 2 years ago. The title track is an eleven minute long orchestral piece in memory of Si's brother and is by no means the only highlight on the LP.
Their are also 2 more untitled slabs of darkness from the Defcom lads already completed and ready to bust some sound systems wherever anyone lucky enough to cut these dubs plays out! The LP will also feature a track from overlord of all that's Freaky and Obscene Dylan and another from Teebee who has been on top production form with his Legacy LP flying off the shelves as I type this. Alongside the John B & Tech Itch remixes on this piece this has to make this contender for one of 2005's albums of the year already!
