DNBR RECORDINGS LTD was formed Jan 24 2006.Right now we are planning the formation of two label entities within the company,these are,Section8 and Plush.Our primary label, Section8, will feature the darkest and hardest mashup and tech step style tunes we can muster. The sister label, Plush, will feature the intelligent and smoother side of JDB.We have already got our 1st release for Section8 in progress and will be featuring trax from Future Prophecies(Wonderland vip) and Switch Technique(ThePersecutor).
Our aim is to have big established and respected producers on every release as well as to nurture fresh new talent looking to break into the DnB scene.As well as Future Prophecies we are in talks with Dj Hidden,Eye-D,Axis & Tank,Tek Infection and The Upbeats plus many others regarding releasing on our label.
As for business, we hope to have an online shop up in the next few months. We will feature our own releases but we will also be offering the best prices we can on new releases coming out from other labels,as well as branded merchandise,clothing etc.
Our goal is to remain prominent in the online community through dnbradio and other affiliated sites but extend our reach further onto the streets.
You can expect PROMO PACKS (both for dnbradio and dnbrrecordings) within the coming months. These packs will be filled with things such as mix cds from the online radio shows, stickers, flyers and posters, clothing and other things featuring artwork from our design team.
As for logo design, it looks like the one, diode, will be our man. His work can be seen in relation to some BARCODE (sleeves and logos) and various other well known labels.
Section8 recordings has been some time in coming,what started out as just an idea talked about amongst 3 friends,sean (dtawx , culture) simon (deception ,suburban1 ,twisted mentality) and mikey (shoebox) has evolved from a dream to a reality and now looks set to take the dnb world by storm by featuring some of the sickest and darkest beats around,from new producers as well as world wide known artist....to kick things off is the much awaited sect8 001 featuring a. future prophecies - wonderland vip an absolutly awsome vip rmx of their already hugly successful tune wonderland,this vip rmx looks set to light up the dancefloors and become one of the tunes of 2006,already lighting up dance floors and creating a storm in sets from the likes of fresh,adam f,noisia,bse plus many more...the flip aa. switch technique - the persecutor a contrasting dark heavy amen smasher from domonik ,an until now unknown producer from poland has been tearing up events with his tunes getting dropped from the likes of counterstrike,unknown error,arsenic,paul blackout etc,you can expect to hear much more from switch technique on the section8 label....
Section8 doesn't plan on being a one release wonder...with distrobution secured with nu-urban,section8 has started penceling in tracks for the next releases,with releases forthcoming from artists such as: mumblz,equilibrium,titanzero,current value,dj hidden,lethal n khanage,g-netic,empireX,core splittaz,axis + trank,kantyze,tactix and many more big names....section8 looks set to become a prominent label in the scene
