Mampi Swift (Charge)

Október 21-én egy olyan drum and bass DJ látogat első ízben Budapestre, akinek mixtudása csak Andy C, Hype, Zinc vagy Marky nevével említhető egy lapon. Ő a Charge kiadó feje, Mampi Swift, akit szerénytelenül csak a double drop-ok királyának szokás emlegetni.
Swift azon régivágású dnb DJ-k közé tartozik, akik elutasítják a CD-t és csak dubplate-ről és bakelitről zenélnek.
Swift, aki csak később lett Mampi (a jelző jelentése: nagy, erős és gyors) 1990-ben kezdett DJ-zni, ugyanekkot a Lucky Spin lemezboltban eladóskodott, ahol megismerte a szomszéd stúdióban Voyagert és ellesett néhány trükköt is tőle. Két évre rá a Kool FM London rezidens lemezlovasa, és rendszeresen fellép a One Nation vagy a True Playaz esteken. Mielőtt saját, Charge nevű kiadóját megalapítja, zenéi a True Playaz, Frontline, Suburban Base, SOUR & K Power kiadóknál látnak napvilágot. Néhány fontosabb Swift zene: az első sikert meghozó The One, a Jaws, a Blaxploitation, a Gridlok által remixelt Trippin' vagy a Fresh-sel közös Play Me.
Mampi Swift itthon talán még nem olyan népszerű, mint a fent említett urak, az azonban biztos, hogy ezen az estén számos rajongót szerez magának.
