Richy Pitch a kilencvenes évek derekán lett ismert a Scratch klubest házigazdájaként, mára a brit hiphop színtér magasan jegyzett dj/producere. Az óhazában szokatlan módon szinte csak tengeren túli figurákkal dolgozik: Live at Home című albuma is az amerikai jazzhop műhelyek közül kiemelkedő 7Heads kiadónál jött ki, olyan közreműködőkkel, mint El da Sensei, J-Live, Asheru, Mr. Complex, a Soulive-os Reggie Watts és leggyakoribb párja, Apani B Fly MC.
Richy másik állandó velejárója sem kutya: a legjobb mai popjazz-dög US3 zenekar frontembere, MC Tukka Yoot. A jamaikai születésű toaster az Urban Species-ben kezdte, később nem kisebb nevek mellett kiabált, mint Herbie Hancock, vagy a Fugees – jelenleg Richy-vel Pitch ’N’ Tukka fedőnéven dolgoznak új közös projekten.
Richy-nek mostanában nincs sok ideje horgászni, hiszen sorban jelenteti meg maxijait, remixeket gyárt (például a bestseller Outkast-nak, vagy a funk renegát Roy Ayers-nek), bootlegeket hegeszt (következő darabja a kiváló svéd G.A.M.M. kiadónál érkezik), a Fabric klubban futó Scratch-en pedig híres haverjait látja vendégül (The Nextmen, DJ Biznizz, First Rate, Mr. Thing, DJ Skully, stb..). Kövesd a pisztrángot!

Hihetetlen! Néhány napja akadt a kezembe az Urban Species - Listen-je, de csak a 3. track-ig bírtam hallgatni mert már annyira ki van nyírva a cd!

Az én tájékozottságom UK hiphopban igencsak hiányos, mert még az életben nem hallottam Richy Pitchről, ezirányban az össz infom Roots Manuva naná :lol: , Skitz & Rodney P, Ty, Formaték, meg mondjuk a Zebra Trafficosok...

De basszus a BTJ sajtóanyagok/beharangozások szerintem olyannyira rendben vannak (de komolyan, gratz Suhaid!), összeszedettek, hogy ezek tényleg kedvcsinálóként működnek... Így kell!!!



Az már csak kisbetűvel, hogy most olvastam a MAW anyagot is, hát basszus detto! Profi, átlátható, amelyik újságíró ebből nem ír normális cikket - mostanában erre volt jópár példa - az súlyosan hülye. Na de elég a fényezésből!

ahmadzai, koszi basszus, igyekszik az ember :)

mar talan kiderult, de ide a topikba meg nem irtam a madzsar fellepokrol.
a hazigizdak mellett lesz tehat dj cadik, dj johnson, mc zeek (igen, aki meg mindig emszizik)

richy-tol szereztem hirtelen ket mix toredeket. a stockholmi raw fusion clubban hangzott el a 2 blokk tavaly szeptemberben -tavaszi frissesegrol tehat sajnos nem beszelhetunk. annyi furcsasag meg van veluk, h hiphop egyikben sincs. az elsoben egy broken beat-disco felora hallhato, a masikon olckul jump up-tol reggae-n at hetvenes-nyolcvanas evekig mindenfele. hiphop az majd lesz itt szombaton :P
