Optiv (Cause 4 Concern, Red Light)

Optiv, a Cause 4 Concern zenei agya a '90-es évek közepén egy guildfordi lemezboltot igazgatott, ezzel párhuzamosan Londonban hangmérnök iskolába járt és hétvégenként a Ministry of Sound technikusaként tanulta a szakmát. Tanulmányait befejezve Guildfordban megalakította a dallamos, könnyed drum and bass-ben utazó Pressure Rise-t. 'Focus' című nagylemezük számait a Konflict, Teebee, a Bad Company, a Usual Suspects és a Cause 4 Concern remixelte.
A C4C Optiv és három másik guildfordi figura szerencsés találkozása. A négyes első sikere nCode néven született, a zenét a Moving Shadow adta ki. Ezután keresztelték át magukat Cause 4 Concern-re és alapították meg ugyanezen a néven saját kiadójukat. A C4C hamarosan a Virus utáni neurofunk hangzás abszolút meghatározója lett, ennek megfelelően Virus, Metro, Renegade Hardware, Subtitles maxikon virított logójuk.
Bár a közös munka egyelőre szünetelni látszik, azért Optiv nem pihen, saját Red Light nevű kiadóján ügyködik és természetesen stúdiózik. Szóló dolgai mellett ismét sok társa akad, a Black Sun Empire, Gridlok, a Bulletproof vagy a Concord Dawn személyében.
Emberünk jelenleg egy nagylemezen dolgozik, valamint Red Light kiadója számára készít friss zenéket RymeTyme, Fierce és a magyar Chris.su közreműködésével.

A 1210-es a C4C a mai napig messze veri a legtöbb mostani zenét... Még egy olyat, mint pl. a Facelift nagyon nehéz lesz írni...

Számomra a legutóbbi nagy kedvenc a Seawolf volt, de már az sem mai zene... (C4C009 - 2003).

Meglátjuk, h mit hoz a jövő...
