CEEPHAX ACID CREW :
Ceephax Acid Crew is the revered moniker of Andy Jenkinson, brother of the all mighty Squarepusher and protégé of DMX Krew and his Breakin' imprint. A massive talent encompassing an old school acid sensibility crossed with the energy and innovation of Rephlex's "Universal Indicator" series, plus a melodic and moody experimental side that is revealed in his mellower moments. A true original. Andy brings an unique liveset, raving up the masses into an acid frenzy that delights with a nostalgic edge and a total dedication to the dancefloor.
-'My favourite artist at the moment is Ceephax Acid Crew. It's Andy Jenkinson, Tom Jenkinson's brother. Its fucking wicked. It's funny because if people ask me 'So, who's going to be the next big star of electronic music?', I always say him. I'm his biggest fan and I'm always raving upfront at all his gigs.' -Richard D.James -- Aphex Twin.-
-“It1s a timeless album of electronic music which is destined to become a classic in the vein of Squarepusher's 'Feed Me Weird Things' or Aphex Twin's 'Selected Ambient Works'.” -Lumin about his Exidy tours album—
LINE 47 :
Since 1994 Scott Weber has been creating music. Beginning in an experimental noise/post-rock band, Mrs. Frisbee, in which he was the percussionist. While in this band Scott developed as a musician and began to create solo noise projects built on electronics and found sounds. When Mrs. Frisbee fell apart in 1996 due to changing interests, he began composing and arranging these solo noise projects exclusively utilizing old record players, self-made tape loops, and records that contained lock grooves etched with a razor blade. With these crude abstract concertos he began a journey into the realm of experimental electronica.
In 1998 he put down the record players and tape loops and began using his college roommate’s desktop computer to manipulate sounds with Fasttracker 2 alongside many different types of freeware audio synthesis applications. This brought about a new love for Scott, the tracker program, and his first recorded electronic material, the self-titled CD-R “Line 47”. This album contained some tape/record loop projects as well as industrial/electro endeavors which soon became more intricate and complex. As time passed, Line 47’s style adapted and with heavy jungle influences as well as blippy nintendo-esque melodies.
Once he refined his sound Scott met Lynn Standafer, (Enduser), and instantly made a connection with him that sparked the Sonicterror Label in 2000. Sonicterror quickly got recognition as one of the top Jungle/Breakcore/Drill n bass labels coming out of the United States. With Scott leading the label they quickly released highly acclaimed albums and began to get attention from other labels and producers interested in working with Sonicterror.
In 2004 Sonicterror was disbanded as Scott became interested in other genres of electronic music besides Jungle and Breakcore. This resulted in the Creation of Terminal Dusk, a label that was not focused on specific genres of electronic music but one that embraced such genres as Dub, Ragga, Electro and Gabber to name a few.
Terminal Dusk took off and expanded right where Sonicterror left off with a great artist roster that included Soundmurderer, Doormouse, Eight Frozen Modules, Not Breathing, Enduser, The Gasman and many others. Terminal Dusk is set to release many records in many different genres helping open the ears of electronica fans to new sounds.
While Scott has been involved some of his own labels, his time for creating and releasing music has dwindled and he is always looking to increase his time for writing tracks. Despite never having a full length release many labels have been interested in getting a track or two from him for a compilation or remix effort. Labels such as Ad Noiseam, Mirex, Peace Off and Break n Cut have made a home for Line 47 material.
Currently, Scott is dabbling in many different genres from breakcore, gabber, dub, raga, electro and drillnbass. This wide spectrum of sounds keeps his sounds fresh and sharp and allows him to experiment with blending genres together in new ways and ever searchings for that Line 47 sound.
X&TRICK :
X&trick started organising nights and dj’ing in 1998. Soon he was invited to play on other parties in Belgium and his first steps into Europe came a few laters. At that time he was getting more and more into his own productions and his first tunes were made. He started playing more abroad in 2003 after being invited for a Swiss tour and playing on the first ‘Nuits Sonores’ festival in Lyon, where he shared the stage with people like Alec Empire, Pan Sonic and Jimi Tenor…
In 2004 ‘Bug Klinik Records’ was born, his own label where he released an ep by Yee-king, and in june 2004 X&trick’s first ep ‘Forever’ was released. This debut ep got well received by international press and scene, so X&trick started to play livesets in a tight shedule (more then 30 gigs in 6 different countries between september and New Years eve 2005).
His music can be described as a mixture of various kinds of contemperary dance music. Jungle, DrumNBass, Electronica, Techno, Breakcore and Hardcore are all music styles which seem to get blended in his fresh cocktail of beats and melodies..An energectic live act which seems to get the move in every dancefloor!
He appaered on compilations with the likes of Funkarma, Lester Lewitt, Xanopticon, Noize Creator..
Did remixes for Puzzling Records and Bee Records, and is currently working on new ep’s for Suburban Trash Industries, Bee Records and Bug Klinik.
RUSUDEN :
Rusuden is the electronic alias of Justin Morgan. Originally a member of various indie rock projects, a passing interest in electronic music soon became a passion, and by 1999 Morgan was performing regularly as Rusuden. His music has been described as beautiful melodies carved within complex hip-hop-infused beat structures, reflecting on classic electronic themes. “Blending many different styles together into his own form of robotic-yet-beautiful electronica”, Justin channels his energy for striking just the right nerve. His music can be heard on the following labels: Sonicterror, Terminal Dusk, Skam, Unschooled & Soho Six.
