Gremlinz (Renegade Hardware, Metalheadz, ARX, Karma)

Az Újvilág Londonja, azaz a drum and bass élet szíve kétségkívül Toronto. Míg az Egyesült Államokban városonként csak néhány klubban hallható dobbasszus, addig a kanadai fővárosban szinte minden napra jut pár buli és minden hétre jut valaki az angol nagymenőkből.
A torontói veteránok (Visionary, Mystical and Sniper, Everfresh, Illfingas) mellett szép lassan felcseperedett egy új generáció (Stranjah & Gremlinz, Mutt, Outlook, Titan, 0=0, John Rolodex, Cartridge), akiknek zeneszerzői képessége nem csak a Metalheadz-tag Loxy, Ink vagy Klute figyelmét keltette fel, de maga a főnök, Goldie is odafigyelt társai lelkes beszámolóira. A fiatalok nevével egyre gyakrabban lehet találkozni a borítokon, olyan kiadóknál, mint a Metalheadz, Loxy Karma nevű kiadója, a Renegade Hardware vagy a kattantabbak közül a Planet Mu.
A Budapestre látogató Gremlinz 1998-ban már az egyik legmenőbb torontói klub, a Turbo rezidense lett és állandó szereplője volt a Renegade Airwaves és Source rádióadók műsorának. Produceri tevékenysége akkortól érdekes, amikor 2000-ben összeakadt Stranjah nevű, ma már állandó szerzőtársával. Kettejük szigorú, tört dzsungel zenéivel Ink Architecutre és Loxy Karma nevű kiadójánál, a Metalheadzen és a Renegade Hardware-nél találkozhatunk, legutóbb a Carpe Diem nagylemezen.

Raiden (Offkey, Renegade Hardware)

Raiden ha akarná (de nem akarja) sem tagadhatná le, hogy óriási hatással volt rá a súlyos, zakatolós minimáltechno. Technomániája mellett imádja a breakeket is, ígyhát végül a drum and bass techno uralta irányzatánál kötött ki. Harapós, sötét, de egyben mély hangzásvilága mára védjegyévé vált.
Raiden vagy néhanapján Jarman 2002 óta van nyomatékosan jelen a dnb világában, bemutatkozását Friction és Nu Balance segítették Transparent kiadójukon. Innen csak egy ugrás volt a legkeményebb zenék neves gyűjtőhelye, a Renegade Hardware, ahol a Muzik Magazine által a egy szavazáson a 20 legjobb track közé választott 'Fallin' is megjelent.
Raiden jelenleg saját, Offkey nevű kiadóját igazgatja, ahol olyan hasonló gondolkodású producerek munkáit jelenteti meg, mint Propaganda, Temper D & K-Fire, Prode, The Sect vagy a német ördögfióka The Panacea.
A kiadó mellett produceri tevékenységét sem hanyagolja el, mostanság Dylan és Loxy is társai voltak a stúdióban, sőt a svéd technozseni Adam Beyer is, akinek Raiden segít drum and bass (!) számai elkészítésében. A Raiden-kép azonban nem lenne teljes, ha nem szólnánk arról is, hogy milyen DJ emberünk. A válasz tömören: eszement.
