Mathematics (Social Studies, Defunked, Renegade Rec / NYC, USA)

A new yorki Mathematics trió (mára duó) house, soul, funk, hip hop és még tucatnyi más stílust hoz közös nevezőre. A sokismeretlenes egyenlet végeredménye dallamos, de kemény ütemeken lüktető drum and bass. A Brooklynból származó James Ronaghan, Mike Genato (és a már inaktív Roy Dank) közös projektje 2001 környékén lett igazán jegyzett név a drum and bass világában, amikor is LTJ Bukem, Fabio, Marky, Doc Scott, és Marcus Intalex kezdték el zenéiket pörgetni.
A csapatnak azóta több nagynevű kiadónál (Hospital, Renegade, Defunked, CIA) jelentek meg számai, amelyekkel folyamatosan gyarapították rajongóik számát. A Mathematics többször járt már Magyarországon és az öt tagú Tactile tagjaival dolgozik rendszeresen közösen, a zenék a Social Studies elnevezésű kiadójukon jelennek meg.
