Commix (Metalheadz, Hospital)

A Nu:tone és Logistics lakhelyéről, Cambridge-ből származó Commix eredetileg trióként 2003-ban jelentette meg első zenéit, a New Identitiy, Good Looking és Tangent címkéken. A siker azonban a Hospital-nál érte utol a fiúkat, a nyugis, dubos 'Roots Train' a földikkel közös Future Sound of Cambridge EP jelent meg. Erre erősített rá a jól sikerült remix DJ Die 'Autumn' című klasszikusából, és nyugodtan mondhatjuk, hogy ez az év Cambridge-ről szólt. A Commix hangzást olyan DJ-k fedezték fel és támogatták, mint Marky, DJ Flight, DJ Lee, Doc Scott, Marcus Intalex, D-Bridge vagy Fabio.
A sikerrel egy évben a csapat kéttagúvá fogyatkozott, hangzásuk azonban színesedett, a nyugis dolgok mellett egyre többször váltottak karcosabbra, ezek a darabok a Metalheadz-nél landoltak. A latinos hangulatú 'Undisco' a Liquid V-nél kötött ki, a D-Bridge-dzsel közös 'Providence' az ex BadCo-tag Exit labeljénél talált helyet. A Commix részt vett Jenna G albumának elkészítésében is, ők jegyzik a 'Healing'-et, az album egyik legszebb zenéjét.
A Commix az első, akik lehetőséget kaptak arra, hogy a drum and bass fogalom Metalheadz kiadónál jelentethessenek meg nagylemezt, az album várhatóan ősszel jelenik meg. Ennek előfutára a 'Talk To Frank', a 'Be True' vagy a gőzhenger 'Electric', amelyek mind tökéletesen érzékeltetik, mennyire egyedi és friss a Commix fiúk stílusa.
