Akinek a nénikéje kidobó a manhattani East Side egyik legkomolyabb night clubjában, ne csodálkozzon rajta, ha már az általános iskolában tankönyvek helyett lemezeket lapozgat. Mr. V-vel pontosan ez történt, hogy aztán jó tíz évvel később a Masters At Work kis kalapos királya, Louie Vega benne lássa meg a trónörököst. Olyannyira egyetértünk Vegával, hogy helyette már mi is V-t hívtuk meg a soronkövetkező BTJ-re.
V az az ember, aki a MAW óta legjobban képes visszahozni a legendás block partyk hangulatát, ahol a nagy alma olvasztótégelyében mindig a legforróbb volt a hagulat: puerto ricoiak mulattak kubaiakkal, latino csajok rázták fekákkal, és mindegy volt, hogy a funk üvölt, a salsa csörög, punk zúz, vagy éppen Kenny Dope és nagykorú haverjai találják föl a house zenét, a DJ és MC közti határvonal pedig senkit nem érdekelt. V direkt nyúl vissza a New York-i gyökerekhez, és oly sikeresen teszi ezt, hogy ma Jill Scott és Roy Ayers kérnek tőle remixeket, de olyan klasszikus házalók is ökölre mennek munkáiért, mint Nick Holder, Jon Cutler, vagy Blaze. Lemezeit a már-már zavaróan népszerű Defected adja ki, persze a MAW és a Vega Records is begyűjtötték a maguk V-opuszait, de Victor saját kiadójának tartogatja legjobbjait: a Sole Channel Music az a house kiadó, amelynek lemezeit hallgatás nélkül lehet a kosárba rakni.
Emitt tehát az őszi karnevál szívritmusban, hogy senki ne mondhassa, hogy a BTJ csak a nyakizmokat tartja karban.

A mai Diszkóvágásban (16.45-18.00 Tilos) vendég Suhaid, ott is bumpoljuk ezt a remek bulit.
