Top Cat egy sor toplista első singlet adott ki (mint előadó és mint producer) és begyűjtött egy Brit Reggae díjat mint a Legjobb Brit Dj/Mc.
Ő volt az első aki megpróbálta a reggaet ötvözni a hiphop és jungle műfajjal. Tapasztalatait Sledge Hammer és Viking vmint Sir Coxson Sound Systemeknél szerezte mint toaster Tenor Fly barátjával az oldalán, ekkor 1988at írtunk "Love Me Sess" címmel jelent meg első nagyobb sikere. Debütáló albuma a rá következő évben "Sensimelia Man" címmel nagyon jó visszhangot kapott.1993ban megjelent "From JA to UK Clash Vol.3." lemezen is igen nagy sikerrel szerepelt.Ezt követően sorra jöttek a toplista első helyezett számok ugymint a "Request the Style" a "Push Up Yu Lighter" reggae és jungle változata ami a harmadik első helyet jelentette az Angol toplistákon.Miután megalapította 9 Lives nevű kiadóját ismét az élre tört "Over U Body/Rude Boy Remix" és "Wind You up Body" számaival.Olyan neves producerekkel előadókkal dolgozott eggyütt mint a Congo Natty label, Shy FX&T-Power.Lemezeit klasszikusként keresik a mai napig ontja magából a szigetországbeli sikereket no és persze világszerte.Május 24én az Ifjúsági Ház falait bontja le lüktető reggae és fejleszakítós jungle zenéivel valamint megmutatja mindenkinek hogyan is kell használni a mikrofont.

The Jafa Mafia the Sound of Auckland established in 2003 by Seledctors Tobi and Captain Midnite. From their 95bfm.co.nz radio show "Thunder & Joy" (Fridays 11-1am (+12 GMT) the pair found a shared passion for 'proper' bashment reggae and mad dancehall. The radio show has now spawned a sister on Auckland's Base FM-www.basefm.co.nz "Strictly 45s", (Sundays 2-4pm (+12 GMT) . Tobi is NZ born and London raised, originates from the London free party/rave and nightclub scene having played most contemporary genres of dance music now focusing on dancehall, dubstep/grime and jungle. Selector Midnite hails from Hungary and developed his love of Jamaican music whilst living in Rome checking Onelove Hi Pawa the legendary soundsystem of Rome weekly and now hunts rare reggae gems like Indiana Jones in a tracksuit and trainers. The Mafia includes Hokianga lads - sing-jay MC Flowzion and VJ/soundboy Razhard on the projector and desk with regular assistance from Harare's gifted son - MC Tuff Enchant. Having warmed up dances with Kyabamba Sound (Swiss) and Worries Outernational Sound(Ireland), Nasty Tek (Sydney) and Goldfinger (Japan), the Jafas clashed and beat Firehouse Sound Sydney 17th January in their own backyard at the first NZ v AUSTRALIA showdown. The tight reclash in February, was a respectable draw and perhaps Melbourne can provide the next target in the future -any challenges will be considered..
