A Lick the Click! háromrészes nyári kertiparti-sorozatának júliusi kiválasztottja, Michel Baumann 26-án egyenesen Stuttgartból pottyan közénk, hogy egy kézen meg sem számolható projektje felé irányuló tehetsége egy Jackmate-nyi darabját megmutathassa számunkra a MokkaCukában.
A kis Michel első lemezét éppen harmincöt éve, 1973-ban kapta, s ez az eset épp annyira kerítette hatalmába, hogy 1987-ben már hivatalosan is kiváló hip-hop DJ-ként tartsák számon. 1992-ben manapság a Freundeskreis-ból ismerős nevű Maximilian Herre-vel alapítja meg Agit Jazz nevű hip-hop formációját. Még ezt megelőzően fertőzi meg chicagoi fűszerezésű house-szal Larry Heard és Lil Louis muzsikája.
1996-ban jelenik meg első saját lemeze Jackmate-ként, a Hot Wax a frankfurti STIR15 címke alatt. A Jackmate melletti másik fő-alteregója, a Soulphiction a kevésbé tánc-orientáltabb, gondolkodósabb irányzatot veszi górcső alá. Michel Baumannként a !K7-ön, a Pulveren illetve a Moon Harbouron jelent meg zenéje. Nik Reiffal és Benjamin Nietennel a zseniális Manmade Science triót alkotja, Suzana Rozkosny munkáit pedig rendszeresen producereli. Első kiadói címkéjét, a Philpotot 2000-ben alapítja, 2005-ben pedig létrehozza ennek kistestvérét, a Phil_e-t.
Zeneíráskor olyan nevek inspirálják, mint Larry Heard, Prince, Liaisons Dangereuses, J-Dilla, vagy Madlib.
Tehát tessék felkészülni július 26-ára, a MokkaCukában Jackmate live-ja mellett Crimson, Chrom és Isu szettje ad sakk-mattot a netán kételkedő füleknek, természetesen ingyen.

Azért az elég szar, h innen kell tájékozódni. :)
Nem lehetne megint legalább Mokka myspace oldalán
(vagy esetleg a mokkacuka.com-on) frissíteni a programajánlót?
Tavaly legalább lehetett előre tervezni.
