Sziasztok! Most szombaton, Nov 12-én Indul a Budapesti RTS...

Tavaly év elején boltokba került második EPje a Snork Enterprises gondozásában.

http://soundcloud.com/pakt

Garpo (Dj Set): 4-től 6-ig
Dj Garpo ( Árpád Gergácz ) 1979-es gödi születésű fiatalember, aki a magyarországi dubtech szcéna egyik alapfigurája.

http://soundcloud.com/garpo/garpomix-tilosradio-2011-09-10

A következő évek aktív zenegyűjtögetéssel teltek, immár nyitva más műfajok felé is. 2010-től a Tilos Rádió több műsorában vesz részt műsorkészítőként vagy DJ-ként. Emellett többedmagával azon igyekszik, hogy a dubtech műfaját a hazai közönség is szélesebb körben megismerje.

Plug & Lay Showcase presents: FERENC VASPOERI (Live act)
Visuals by THIEF

Ferenc Vaspoeri started composing electronic music in the early 2000s following his studies of classical music and playing instruments. His first productions came out with Minimalheadz and the internationally well-known Chi Recordings. His compositions since then seen light on a variety of renowned labels, such as Level Records, Multi Vitamins and Salto Records and, his sounds rose the profile of Hungarian netlabel, Freakhouse. He began showcasing his talent with live acts about the same time his first musical creations came out. He continued to amuse the Hungarian underground music scene ever since. His innovative style, enduring enthusiasm and unique delivery built up his reputation of now being one of the most favourited electronic live act artists of Hungary.

Ferenc Vaspoeri’s sounds touched upon a variety of musical genres over the past decade and still continue to form his individual style. His music is varied and very much up-to-date, uniquely filled with unusual tempo and style conversions. He creates a real ‘concert feel’ in his shows sustaining the audience’s full attention throughout. He expresses a unique harmony in his melodies that even catches the ears of listeners that aren’t used to electronic music. Electronica, house, more and more hip-hop, slick percussions and acoustic instruments are all crucial elements of his jazzy, dubby and, sometimes techy sounds born in the composer’s meditative or humorous moods. Vaspoeri is also happy to perform Dj sets on radio shows or at less dance floor oriented evenings with a selection of music that inspired his own sounds.

She’s got invited to spin her vinyl in Luxemburg and in the eminent Fuse, Brussels. She is a frequent guest in a number of international radio shows.

Plug & Lay Showcase presents: MIGREN (Live act)
Visuals by THIEF

Migren started producing music and live-act shows in underground clubs of Hungary in 2003.
Over the following years he kept polishing his musical style, and put his name out in the EU.
He played at an electronic music festival in Austria and the Flex club.

It proves a bit tricky to define his own style within the Techno genre, due to his construction method containing elements of Dub, Techno, Brokenbeats combined with floating Chords.
Migren's music is always heated by emotions, yet strictly minimalist,
filled with groundbreaking subvibes, and boldly combining experimental elements.

SPYRAL (Dj set)
Visuals by THIEF

Spyral was born in Budapest in 1988. His career started in 2005, when he got in contact with dubstep. The early dubstep music and the spirit of the parties have driven him to take part of this culture. As a consequence of a bet laid on a night, he began to spin some vinyl. At the beginning he was playing dubstep, the early kind, and sometimes, on a few special occasions he is still playing this genre. Meanwhile dubstep lost the spirit that inspired him and he became acquainted with dubtechno deeptechno/house. It was love at first sight, and still lasting.
He is a host of a radio show called Deep in Dawn on radio Tilos. Currently he is studying contemporary and experimental music and visualization at the University of Pécs.

DORK
Visuals by THIEF

Hungary’s first generation underground DJ, Dork has been using music and record players as means of meta-communication since 1996. By moving along the forceful and meditative borderland of her humane techno she is able to make apparent the valuable dimensions of the style.

Capturing the uplifting experience of removing the boundaries of time and space and transforming the public into a community is what have always motivated her both in the case of the parties on Frankhegy, linked to DJ Dork’s name too, which have by now gained cultic significance, or her several storey high works of ray painting.

During her career that reaches back fifteen years Dork considered her selection primarily therapeutic, whether she was invited to the Tresor Club in Berlin, or the run-down dj counter of an open air festival. Be it primary minimal, abstract detroit techno, grotesquely outspoken and funny ghetto tech or energetic chicago house, she strives to disclose the common human denominators valid not only in the specific situation but also the day after, emphasizing her symbiotic intention towards the audience. Her entire approach embodies as candidly as possible a distortion mirror set before today’s world of parties drained of their sparkle.

ISU
Visuals by THIEF

The story of Isu, a.k.a. István Kántor, starts around the first half of the nineteen-nineties in the logbook of the Hungarian underground music industry, making his name early on with his organizing skills and “cassette-jockey” sets.

After receiving his first Michael Jackson cassette - Bad – and getting to know black electronic music meant there was no way back: all of his pocket money went towards his ever-growing collection of industrial, techno and EBM records. In secondary school, with his like-minded friends Kalt and Dexter, he became a vinyl-junkie and started to roam the nightlife of Budapest.

In 1998 Isu started his civil service as a technician at the very much acclaimed underground Tilos R?di? of Hungary, where Tizso gave him a chance to broadcast his own radio programme, Eat da Beat, on air ever since on Saturday nights through to Sunday mornings. Not long after he joined Minimalheadz collective, the guys he set up the radio programme with. He introduces quality electro and techno to the Budapest audience under the umbrella of Minimalheadz, inviting important foreign acts like DJ Assault, DJ Godfather and Matthew Herbert. At the same time he started to work at the legendary I&I Record Store, gaining experience in the business. He currently runs Akt Records, one of the biggest electronic music record stores in Hungary, the favourite hangout of both the public and the professionals of Hungarian techno and minimal. His biggest throws were the uniquely mystical Labyrinth parties under the Castle of Buda, brought to life with his friend Tégla, together with Alkotótábor, a mini-festival near the Lake Balaton, realized in 2003 with Fiba & Wuki from Keszthely, attracting more and more visitors every year.

In 2005 meeting Chrom and Crimson, they established Lick the Click!, which in the next five years became the most reliable series of events in Hungarian minimal/techno/house, featuring artists such as Matthias Tanzmann, Frivolous, the Noze, Dapayk Solo, Deadbeat, Moritz von Oswald ft. Tikiman and many others. Around this time Isu launches the Akt Records presents... parties with Szilvia Lednitzky, who also starts helping out in Lick the Click! and later Technokunst. The Akt Records parties enumerated artists like Modeselektor, Mr. Oizo, Apparat, Marko Fürstenberg or Monolake for the Hungarian lovers of electronic music.

In 2010, with acknowledged fine artist DJ Dork, he looks for a new platform to share their ideas on techno: Technokunst comes to life with the expressed aim of bringing quality – instead of commercial - techno back to Hungary. In Budapest’s only stable and quality club that thinks “differently”, the belly of the A38 ship, Technokunst.

Istvan Raki's music career started in 1999 when his first official track was released on a CD compilation called Hungarian House Only vol.4 (Console-9 - Recycle) which was an essential selection series in those years in Hungary.

As a producer he enjoys taking music journeys to subgenres like minimal-tech, dub techno, prog house, chill-out, drum and bass/dubstep, ; this is why he uses different alter-egos (Aura Fresh, Console 9, Inzah, Lacood) for different releases. During the years he had several singles, Ep's, remixes released on labels like Entropy Records, Deep In Dub, No Smoking Recordings, Xela Digital, Chiware, Super 6, Uran97; appeared on True Sound Of Freee 3 music magazine compilation, as well as on Budapest Parade 2004 remix Ep. His 2005 single 'Classic Way To Flash' (using his Aura Fresh alter-ego) is one of the 14 tracks that were selected for the official Native Instruments Traktor DJ Studio 2.6 promo mix.

He was a guest producer on enSonic.FM's Featured Artist show and was selected for the Artist Of The Week on FOEM in 2007. He is the founder of Chord Plaza Records dub techno/dub house, Synthactica Records progressive house and Bad Sleeper Recordings dubstep label. Beside the label management and producer works he also performs as a minimal/dub techno live act using purely hardware gear.

These two vinyl-fetishist lads, both hailing from Szekesfehervar started to pull their IKZ events together around a decade ago, mostly concentrating on not so well-known styles in Hungary, under the umbrella of Mehkasaula, a local cultural organization. As their sound is it’s own animal, soon they’ve found themselves in the middle of the blooming underground of Budapest.

The next milestone was the establishment of the trio of Lick the Click, togeth- er with Isu. These clubnights soon grew out to be one of the most charismatic event-series of Budapest. These parties are mostly revolving around minimal, deephouse, but detroit- and other fusion-sounds are also involved, just as such guest artists like Audio Werner, Daniel Stefanik, Frivolous, Butane, Lo- soul, 2562, Ame, Soulphiction, Moritz Von Oswald, Deadbeat or I:Cube.

Crimson and Chrom became favoured invitees of quality underground organizer crews and parties as Ablak-A-Dubra, Hairy, Cinetrip, Hypnosis, Bomb The Jazz, Girls & Mathematics, Chi, NVC, Test, Electronic Beats or the Camp for Minimal Music Lovers. They can also be found behind the booths of the biggest Hungarian festivals, as Sziget, Volt and Balaton Sound.

Due to to versatility and the quality of the C+C sets, the guys were supporting act at the Hungarian gigs of artists like Carl Craig, Mike Huckaby, At Jazz, Quarion, Dixon, Henrik Schwarz, Todd Terje, Alex Barck, Red Rack’em, The Time And Space Machine, Luke Solomon, Rainer Truby, Layo & Buschwacka!, Andrew Weatherall, Bruno Pronsato, The Revenge, The Sister Of Mercy...

As the two C’s prefer the classic setup of vinyls and two decks, they usually try to avoid homogeneity in their sets, orientating to radical changes. Their viewpoints on music involve avant-garde novelties with the classical formulae, fusing punk, acid, jazz, tech, dub and dark elements into one individual whole.

Their inspiration comes from DJ Koze, Pepe Bradock, Chateau Flight, Ame, Red Rack’em, I:Cube, Maurice Fulton, Prins Thomas, Alan Abrahams, Dixon, Michael Baumann, Matthew Dear, James Murphy, Ben Stranger Cook, Bowie, The Cure, The Creatures, Bauhaus. Their sets were played in radio shows of Mike Hucka by and Red Rack’em’s Smuggler’s Inn.

They constantly try to find the balance of emotions and dancing, and they never say no to turn the place upside down.

Aphiks is a 21-year old techno artist from Budapest, Hungary.

Started out as an ambient-techno DJ in his teenage years, constantly
developing his passion for electronic tunes. In 2006, he started focusing
more and more on triphop & dub oriented sounds. He couldn't afford to buy
vinyl for a long-period so in order to alleviate his appetite for music he
got deeper into music production experimenting with twisting knobs and
cutting up samples.

From 2009 he continued to Dj more frequently again, with his mate, dub
techno producer Zoltan Solomon, playing back2back ‘spacedubbed’ sets.
Aphiks has been a regular guest at a techno orineted show on underground
radio station tilos (tilos.hu) and a number of events in Budapest.

In 2010 he performed at an international festival with media art &
sound-installations in Dortmund called: Audiodigital presents Budapest
Nights. Nowadays in his sets and productions he focuses on dark / deep /
magnetic / spacedubbed out / hypnotic techno and now he is working on his
first LP.

Fiba&Wuki (Tibor Beres and Tamas Beres) are brothers from Keszthely, a
small but beautiful town on the western coast of the biggest Hungarian
lake, Balaton. They use to be the host of club night called “The Minimum
Dose”, which was one of the few (if not the only one) regular Hungarian
minimal-house parties on the countryside between 2004 and 2009. Moreover
they are the co-founders of “Alkototabor – Camp for minimal music lovers”,
which is the most considerable minimal music event in Hungary held every
year since 2004. It's pholosophy is very simple, since it collects minimal
music fans from each territory of the country to play and act together as
one big family, enjoy the music and the nice environment in the
neighborhood of lake Balaton.

Fiba&Wuki have been collecting electronic music records since their
childhood and they started to organize small parties around the middle 90s.
In the beginning of their musical career they were known mainly as bed room
dj’s, but step by step, they started to play techno music more frequently
in small parties both on the countryside and in the capital. After a while
they founded SRS crew (abbreviation of Small Room Scientists) to propagate
techno music in their hometown and the sorrounding territory.

Arround 2000, they turned completely to minimal sounds represented by such
labels like Force INC; Studio 1; Background etc. at that time.
Simultaneously Fiba started to experiment with sampler programs and came up
with some promising minimal-tech tracks. Then his tracks were released by a
Norwegian netlabel called PrePost, some of them appeared on different
Hungarian lebals and he was also performing some live act sets in
underground parties. By nowadays, although Fiba&Wuki do not play every week
in clubs or radio shows, they have become respected characters of the
Hungarian minimal scene.

Their sound covers a broad spectrum of minimal and tech-house style, in
some extent it is also influenced by jazz, funk and dub music elements, but
they prefer the most clean sounds and deep baselines.

Under three different monikers, Red Rack'em, Hot Coins and Marlinspike, Danny Berman has carved a name for himself in the last half a decade for his productions that can skip over and meld a wide spectrum of styles, drawing from hiphop, house, disco, techno, soul/jazz, postpunk and postpunk. Red Rack'em's multidisciplinary style of production, well respectecd and followed radio show (Smuggler's Inn on MyHouseYourHouse) and wide ranging taste and ability as a DJ came to the attention of Gilles Peterson, and after delivering one of the highlight tracks of 2009 in the UK, his anthemic Hot Coins remix of the Paradise Garage classic "Stand By The Word" by the Joubert Singers, Danny has been steadily cementing his status as a DJ, broadcaster, producer and selecter of the highest order on the global stage. He released acclaimed disco, beatdown and house on labels like Untracked, Autodiscoteque, Tirk, Home Taping, Shift and Deep Freeze, remixed Tricky for Domino Records and become an in-demand DJ at large scale festivals like Glastonbury, Snowbombing, Matter, Bestival and The Big Chill. 2010 saw the launch of his own label, Bergerac, which has received widespread acclaim and plenty of play from folks as wide ranging as Four Tet, Carl Craig, the Idjut Boys, Jazzanova and the Rush Hour crew and further releases on other labels.

2011 has been a busy year for him. After relocating from the UK to Berlin, he's been putting the finishing touches to his debut Hot Coins album, continued releasing on Bergerac, provided the critically lauded track Kalimba for Innervisions' sister label, Philomena, and started a series of interviews with his personal musical heroes such as Mike Huckaby. After an absence from Budapest of over 2 years, Red Rack'em is back for a celebration of music of deep diversity.

Az ünnepek alatt pihent az RTS.FM budapesti stúdiójának adása is, addig is a korábbi műsorok audio archívumából szemezgethettek a folyamatosan frissülő Mixcloud oldalon, melyre legutóbb felkerült Ferenc Vaspoeri azóta is sokat emlegetett játékos live szettje, valamint Yngoma finom mélytechnos játéka.

Az adások természetesen videoval is újranézhetőek az RTS archívumából, ehhez azonban account szükséges, melyet a kívánt e-mail cím elküldésével a rtsfmbudapest@gmail.com címen tehettek meg.

Jó hallgatást addig is, friss programokkal pedig hamarosan jelentkezünk ;)

Max Factor is a house / techno dj and producer with an iconic smile. Since 2000 he had undertaken an increasing number of actions, especially at sunsets, sunrises and lakesides. As a producer he is creating slow river-swimming techniques, built with a tightly woven soft carpet. His mixes create vibes similar to the experience of living on Mars, curious yellow feathers and windfalls. Dandys, crazy cool gym girls, honest butchers will have great fun listening to him, the rest will just enjoy it.

JOE BONEZ

Joe's been collecting and spinning at free/house parties in the West Midlands since the mid-90s as well as helping to organise several soundsystems. I've been the resident British oddity at Tilos Radio in Budapest, Hungary, for 3 years now, after moving to Hungary in 2006. Since living here I've had the opportunity to play with guest DJs as varied as Thomas Schumacher, Fine Cut Bodies, Maelstrom, Jaffa Surfa, Greg Wilson and Cosmic Boogie, as well as a host of local talent.

Have a small obsession with penguins which I'm in therapy for. Evil genius with the emotional depth of a 4yr old.

Most of my 2000+ tunes are in a cellar in Kent so I'm pretty much had to start collecting from scratch again. One day, one day I'll be able to bring them all here to Budapest...

Like a variety of electronic music with emotion, groove or just plain weirdness. I pioneer made-up genres such as Scandolearica, chillgrime and nuglitchwavedisco.
